Privacy Policy

Osul ("Osul", "we", "us") operates the Osul mobile app and the website at shoposul.com (together, the "Service"). Osul is a shopping-discovery service that aggregates secondhand clothing and accessory listings from third-party resale marketplaces into one place. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.
Information we collect
- Account information. If you create an account, we collect your email address and a chosen handle and display name, so we can sign you in and sync your saved items across devices. Authentication is handled by our service provider, Supabase.
- Activity you create. Items you favorite, mood boards you build, searches you run, and accounts or boards you follow. Much of this can be used anonymously and is stored on your device until you sign up, at which point it syncs to your account.
- Image searches. When you search by photo, the image is sent to our servers to find visually similar listings. Uploaded search images are used to perform the search and are not published or shared.
- Usage and device data. Basic technical and analytics data (such as app version, device type, and interactions) that helps us keep the Service reliable and improve it.
How we use your information
- To operate and personalize your feed, search, and recommendations.
- To sync your favorites and boards across your devices when signed in.
- To send price-drop alerts and account notifications you opt into.
- To secure the Service, prevent abuse, and fix problems.
Affiliate links and how Osul makes money
Osul links you to listings on third-party marketplaces. Some of these links are affiliate links, including links participating in the eBay Partner Network. If you click through and make a purchase, Osul may earn a commission from the marketplace. This comes at no additional cost to you and does not influence the listings we show. To support this, a marketplace may record that a referral came from Osul (for example, through a tracking parameter on the link or a cookie set by the marketplace). We do not sell your personal information.
Third-party marketplaces
When you click a listing, you leave Osul and continue on the third-party marketplace (such as eBay, Vinted, or Poshmark). Those marketplaces are independent of Osul and have their own privacy policies and terms, which govern any purchase or account you make there. Osul is not affiliated with or endorsed by these marketplaces.
Service providers we use
We rely on trusted providers to run the Service, including Supabase (accounts, database, and storage) and our hosting and email providers. These providers process data only to provide services to us.
Data retention
We keep account information for as long as your account is active. You can ask us to delete your account and associated personal data at any time by emailing us at the address below. Locally stored, anonymous data lives on your device and can be cleared by removing the app.
Your choices
- You can use much of Osul without creating an account.
- You can control notifications from your device settings.
- You can request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data by contacting us.
Children
Osul is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we'll revise the "Last updated" date above and, for material changes, provide a more prominent notice.
